Can we submit the application form without submitting the 10+2 exam mark sheet?
Yes, the application can be submitted before declaration of the results. However, candidates applying for admission will be eventually required to fulfil all the eligibility criteria for admission to the programme. Their admission will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview, it is found that candidate does not fulfil eligibility criteria, his / her candidature for the admission shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference.

After receiving the application form, it will be processed for eligibility of the candidate. Eligible candidates will be informed about the date/time of the tests/interview. Wherever applicable/ required, G D Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA) or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be conducted. For admission to B Arch program, National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) or JEE (Main) for B.Arch scores will be required. GDGU is an authorized NATA Center. What is the eligibility criteria for getting admission to various programs of G D Goenka University.
Eligibility for Bachelor Programmes ((UG/ Integrated/Dual Degree): Candidates who have completed or are in the process of completion of their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc. (in relevant stream) are eligible to apply for undergraduate degree programmes. In addition to marks in the qualifying examinations, the admission will be based on performance in Aptitudes Test followed by a personal interview. Eligibility for Masters Programmes (PG/PG Diploma): Candidates who have completed 3 or 4-year full-time degree or equivalent, are eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exams in 2014 and the results are expected to be declared latest by 31st October 2014 can also apply. Can I appear for the entrance exam now and join the programme later?
No. All candidates are required to register for the programme on the date of Commencement of batch to which admission has been granted.
What is the upper age limit for applying?
The upper age limit for applying in bachelor programmes is restricted to 23 years. However for Post graduate programmes there is no age limit.
Can the student apply for more than one program at a time?
Yes, but the student will be admitted to only one program as per the merit and preference given.
What is the pattern of Aptitude Test?
The Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA) aims to test a candidate’s general aptitude for the program applied for, general IQ, logical reasoning, and vocabulary as well as observation power. The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) aims to judge the intuition, power of observation, innovation in development of a concept and design ability of a candidate. It also tests the creative and innovative use of colour and illustration skills.
How to prepare for Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA)?
The Aptitude Test aims to assess the general IQ level, logical reasoning and lateral thinking of a candidate. Questions asked will be of 10+2 level for Undergraduate program. For PG programs, the level will be of graduation.

When and where is the counselling held?

What is the Fee Payment Schedule?
Fee is payable semester wise. For the first semester, the last date of fee payment will be as given in the Admission Letter. For subsequent semesters, the last date for payment of Even Semester Fee is December 01 and for Odd Semester Fee,it is July 15 of every year for all the Programmes of the University. In case the last date falls on a holiday, the next working day will be considered.

The class size is as specified by various regulatory bodies and normally varies between 40-60 students.
Can I meet the faculty members for career guidance?
Yes, to help students decide the best career path, senior faculty members are available on all working days (Mon-Fri) between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm for guidance.
What is the minimum attendance required to appear in the examinations?
The University expects its students to attend all classes, special lectures and extra-curricular activities. However to cater for exigencies like illness, family functions and other commitments, maximum 25% relaxation is considered in each subject separately. Minimum attendance required to appear in the examinations is 75% in each subject.
Am I eligible to apply for the B. Tech program without appearing for JEE (main)?
As per the admission policy of G D Goenka University, you are required to have a rank in the JEE (Main) examination. If you have not secured any rank in JEE (main), then you will have to appear in Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA) to seek admission in B. Tech.
Is there any minimum JEE(Main) cut-off required for selection to the Merit List?
The admission procedure is not based only on JEE (Main) rank. It considers the class 12th performance, JEE (Main)/GATA performance and a candidate’s performance in the Personal Interview etc. conducted by the University. The cut-off is based on an aggregate score secured by the candidate.
If at a later stage, I want to withdraw my admission, is the fee refundable?
After committing a seat, if a student wants to withdraw admission granted before the start of the academic session or at a later stage, the fee will be refunded as per the fee-refund policy mentioned in the information brochure.
