A THOUGHTFUL EVENT OF SPREADING AWARENESS AMONG YOUNG VOTERS.

On 18th October 2019, GD Goenka University, Gurugram organized an enriching and profusely informative session on Awareness regarding SVEEP (Systematic Voters\' Education and Electoral Participation), essential for an integrated understanding of the Elections for the Haryana Legislative Assembly that are duly scheduled on 21st October 2019. The event was marked by the distinguished presence of our eminent Guests including, Mr. Ashok Sangwan, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Gurugram Division, Mr. Lokesh Rajput, Youth Ambassador for SVEEP Gurugram, Mr. Manish Sharma, Famous YouTube artist and Special Youth Guest for SVEEP Gurugram and Mr. Gaurav Singh, Regional Head and Addl. CEO-PMU. Mr. Rohit Gujral, Director, GD Goenka Group graced the event and felicitated the eminent guests. Major Karttikeya Sharma, Administrator, GD Goenka Education City; Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Dean Student Welfare & International Relations; Mr. Narender Sharma, Registrar, GD Goenka University were among other officials present for the event. The gratifying presence of distinguished guests added more knowledgeable colors in the existing rational domains.
The event started with the Lamp lighting ceremony, evoking divine blessings for a productive and wholesome future ahead. The welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Anil Dawra, Proctor, GD Goenka University gave humble welcome to our dignitaries for the event. The address of all the dignitaries unfolded one after the other, leaving the audience more informed, and aware with a deep touch of an Individual’s responsibility of being a dutiful citizen. The fundamental process and information regarding Elections, EVM and likewise was enumerated handsomely by our guests so as to render a learned perspective among the young minds of the young voters. All apprehensions, unsettled doubts were settled, and everyone took a pledge of sincerely abiding by our responsibilities as the citizens of our country.

The event culminated itself with a vote of thanks by the Registrar marking the end of a highly informative and need-of-the-hour initiative to generate awareness among the young voters and making them understand the empowering nature of inclusive Elections in the democratic existence of any country.
