Best Out of Waste: Reinforcing through Craft the value of 3 R’s (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) among student-teachers

School of Education, G D Goenka University organized Best out of Waste Competition for student-teachers on November 16, 2017.

Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way.In today’s world recycling has a very important place. There are a lot of things around that are labelled as dump. But the irony is that most of the dump collected is useful for others, if recycled.Hence utilizing the best from unwanted things has become a generic necessity of every human’s life. Teachers have a significant role in nurturing the value of environmental protection and conservation among children through creative craft activities like ‘Best out of Waste’.

This activity helped to enhance not only creativity and presentation skills of the student-teachers but also helped them to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.
