Blood Donation Camp at GD Goenka University

Board of Student Activities Rotaract Club, GD Goenka University in association with Rotary Club organized Blood Donation Camp at GD Goenka University on September 19, 2018. Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. Shanthakumar, Dean Student Welfare Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Deans of various schools, and dignitaries from Rotary Club inaugurated the events by Lamp Lighting and Ganesh Vandana that marked the beginning of noble activity.

The event witnessed the presence of students, faculty and staff members from various departments who joined hands together to motivate each other and voluntarily donate blood to support this noble cause. Total 305 units of blood were collected which marked a huge increase from the previous year’s camp.

The Rotaract Club, GDGU office bearers, President Karan Preet Gill and Vice President, Ram Bajaj, Office bearers of BSA, Aman Mathur and Shivaji Raj Singh, along with volunteers Yash Gupta, Sahej Athwal, Ashank Yadav, Anees Nakai, Sara Sidhu and Naman Sharma had worked tirelessly to promote awareness about the camp and organize it flawlessly. They were supported by BSA Rotaract Club Faculty Advisor Ms. Sudipta Sen Gupta, Admin-Head Mr. Ram Prasad Thakur and ODSW representative Ms Sarina Asif under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Dean Student Welfare.
