GD Goenka University organizes blood donation camp in campus

Board of Student Activities Rotaract Club, GD Goenka University in association with Rotary Club organized Blood Donation Camp at GD Goenka University on October 11, 2017. The day began with cutting of ribbon by honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Shrihari, Dean Student Welfare Prof. (Dr.)Tanuja Kaushik, Deans of other schools, heads of various departments, Dignitaries from Rotary Club and faculty members. It followed by Lamp Lightening that marked the beginning of noble cause.

The Rotaract Club Volunteers: Sahil Mangla, Aman Mathur, Aditya Sharma, Mansi Gupta, Diksha Suri and Vivek Yadav were presented with batches by dignitaries from Rotary Club. This was followed by presentation of momentos to faculty team of Rotaract Club: Ms. Manni Dutta and Ms. Vineeta Kochhar. After this, Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Shrihari and Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Dean Student Welfare were felicitated with momentosfor their constant support and guidance. Special thanks to Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Dutt, Dean, School of Medical & Allied Sciences for his support.

The event witnessed the presence of students and faculty members from various departments who joined hands together to motivate each other and voluntarily donate blood to support this noble cause. Their one step help made a gift of life to many in need. This event could not have been successful without the support and coordination of volunteers who belong from different schools of University. Total Number of voluntary blood donors were about 215 out of which after rejection 195 units were finally collected.
