Guest Lecture on Leadership Development in International Business

Dr. Kieran Michael Conroy, Faculty, Queen\'s Management School, Belfast, Ireland addressed the students of BBA and BCom on 13th November 2017. He shared the insights of his research on \"Leadership Development in International Business through International Business by International Assignments\". He discussed how companies prepare their employees for International Assignments and also discussed the importance of pre-training and post-training for expatriates. His research also pointed to the shortcomings in this task. It was interesting to note that while companies paid lot of emphasis on pre-training of employees, the hand holding was completely missing once the employee landed in a new country on his International Assignment. He also apprised the students of the various management courses available at Queen’s Management School, Belfast, Ireland.
