The global water crisis is one of the issues that calls for action. The challenges include water scarcity, water pollution, inadequate water supply and the lack of sanitation for billions of people in less developed countries. World Water Day is an international observance on March 22, 2018. The day brings to light the inequality of access to Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)services and the need to assure the human right to water and sanitation.

School of Education, G D Goenka University observed World Water Day through community service programme on March 23, 2018 in collaboration with various non-governmental organizations working for underprivileged children such as Society for Upliftment& Development of Human Being by Action (SUDHA), Gurgaon, Dream Girl Foundation, Gurgaon and Desire Society, Gurgaon. They recited poems and jingles to ‘Save Water’. They distributed sheets and crayons to the children and helped them draw. Also, they interacted with the children about hygiene and cleanliness in daily routine.
