GD Goenka University Research and Development Centre successfully organized the 2nd edition of Research Conclave during 22nd-23rd February 2019 with an aim of promoting collaborative research. Owing to the overwhelming response received from research scholars and faculty members during the 1st Research Conclave, this year the event was extended to two days. This year 204 researchers from different Industry, Colleges and Universities across NCR participated in this event. To name a few are:NIT Delhi, Delhi University, NCU, Amity University, WorldQuant etc.
The two day event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Suku Bhaskaran, President, GD Goenka University. The conclave was spread over 11 sessions including the poster presentation. During these sessions different aspects of research were touched upon including research possibilities in different disciplines, tips for drafting effective research proposals, tools and techniques for statistical analysis, patent and copyright to name a few. The panelists were invited from diverse areas of expertise with rich experience in the areas of research, statistical analysis, commercialization and patent.

The eminent speakers, who delivered talks during these two days include: Er Anuj Sinha, Former Head and Adviser, Science Communication Division, Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Naveen Prakash, Adjunct Professor, IIITD, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Joint Director/Scientist E, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Dr. Jaishri Jethwaney, Visiting Professor, Institute for Studies in Industrial Development , Mr. Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi,, Country Director, Delloite, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Asthana, Additional Director, Scientist E, DRDO, Dr. Radhe Krishan, Research Officer, Ministry of Ayush, Dr. Ravikrishnan Elangovan, Associate Professor, Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, IIT Delhi, Mr. Mukesh Bansal, Senior Director, Aricent and Shri G.R.Raghavender, Joint Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice.

A poster presentation competition was also organized for the researchers. After initial screening by an internal jury comprising of 9 members, the presenters were asked to present their posters on the first day of the conclave. The final evaluation was done by a jury consisting of 5 external experts from academia and research organizations.
The last session on the culminating day of the event was followed by a valedictory session by Prof. (Dr.) Usha Batra, Head, Research and Development Centre and announcement of winners of the poster competition. A total of 5 awards were given including first, second and third prize along with two consolation prizes. The winners were given certificates along with generous cash prizes.
