TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

To celebrate Teachers Day, the students of GD Goenka University hosted a special event to raise a toast for their President, Deans, Faculty members and Administrative staff. Students welcomed all the guests with a traditional ritual of Tilak and gifted a special token of greetings to all the guests.

The event commenced with lighting the Lamp of Knowledge and paying a tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan by the Honourable President Prof. (Dr.) Suku Bhaskaran and Deans of all the schools. This was followed by Saraswati Vandana.

Prof. (Dr.) Suku Bhaskaran congratulated all the faculty members in his speech and talked about the importance of teachers in nation building. He emphasized on the changing role of teachers in today’s technological world. After the speech, all the students from different clubs of BSA (Board of Students Activities) showcased some entertaining acts for teachers. Spectacular performances by Dance Club, Dramatics Club, Music Club, Fashion Club and Literary Club entertained the audience.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event and appreciated the effort put in by students for making the day so memorable.
