About the hand on Bakery & Confectionary workshop :

The Workshop is designed to provide “Hands on Training” to baking enthusiasts.The concepts examined within the Bake Shop may include the following:

  • Introduction to Baking tools and equipment
  • Baking Math & Sanitation
  • Ingredient choices and Appropriate Cooking techniques
  • Manufacturing Bakery Products using appropriate methods and emerging baking technologies.
  • Creating Edible Art Pieces of eye appeal and amazing taste.

Program covers familiarization and using of ingredients for Breads, Cookies, Cakes, Icing and Frosting, Decorations and the art of Dessert Plate Presentations.

Teaching methodology will be interactive and participative. The classes shall begin with a demonstration in the Demo Kitchen followed by Hands on practice sessions at the fully equipped Bakery lab Kitchen.

Learning Outcomes :

  • Illustrate the advanced classical and contemporary pastry and confectionary techniques in presenting quality Bakery and Confectionary products
  • Understand and demonstrate the functional properties and use of baking ingredients and methods in creation of variety products.
  • Identifying the faults in baking and integrate corrective techniques through sensory analysis of baking science.
