Dr. Nusrat Khan and Dr. Raunica Ahluwalia, Faculty of School of Management visited NABET, Manesar on 9th June 2017 to explore collaborations in research, training and entrepreneurship development. NABET is a registered NGO in Gurgaon committed to provide employment to the visually impaired/ handicapped and weaker sections of the society. It provides training for developing IT/ITES skill of its beneficiaries through its skill development programs.

The faculty met the founder duo of Abhishek Mishra and Arjun Mishra. Both of them have recently been honoured with the prestigious Queen’s Young Leaders 2017 award by Her Majesty, Queen of the United Kingdom. Each year, the Queen selects a cohort of social entrepreneurs and for this year from India, Abhishek and Arjun were selected as the Queen Young Leaders.



These young entrepreneurs have done amazing innovative work in the IT field where blind /visually impaired work at par with others. This unique skill development initiative has led to employment of large number of such people in companies like Mahindra, Vodafone, ShopClues and Jabong. They have developed pan- India programs using special softwares and training capsules, designed to keep the handicap and industry requirements in mind. Through this initiative they have been able to find employment for over 750 such people.
