World’s Pharmacist Day

GD Goenka School Of Medical & Allied Sciences celebrated the World Pharmacists Day on September 25, 2018 with an aim to honor and recognize the positive impact that pharmacists have in health care. Event started with the motivating speech from Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Dutt, Associate Dean, SoMAS. He apprised the audience about the current challenges for pharmacists and possible ways to augment the value of pharmacists. Students and staff members enthusiastically pledged Pharmacist Oath with a promise to follow ethical practices. In order to make students aware about ‘Current challenges in Pharmaceutical Industry’, an interactive session by Mr. Vikas Batra, Senior Research Manager, M/s Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Gurugram. was also organised. He promulgated the process of drug discovery to launch of the finished product. Students of pharmacy also showed their expert knowledge through disseminating information on Safe use of OTC Drugs in the Campus followed by a quiz and Elocution competition. Ms. Suhani Sinha, Assistant Professor, SoMAS expressed gratitude to all the students and staff members for their valuable support for the successful celebration of World Pharmacist Day on view of Health, Social care and well-being of patients.
