A field trip is an opportunity for students to visit sites of national and international significance and to study historic, contemporary and vernacular architecture. Field trips enrich and imbue student’s learning through active hands on experience. Such activities enhance students’ knowledge about architecture and provoke critical thinking, historical empathy and sustained interest in the subject. The study trips are mandatory and provide unique opportunities for students to explore and learn outside class rooms with exposure to real world issues in an informal interactive forum.

School of Architecture and Planning, G.D. Goenka University organized a settlement study trip to Udaipur, Rajasthan for third semester students of B. Arch program from Jan 9th to 17th, 2016.
