Fashion Design

The degree course in fashion design does not form a free artist isolated in his own talent but a designer who is inspired from – and in professional relationship with the fashion system and its constraints. The designers of fashion does not address design only from the point of view of style as a fashion product but consider the “space” of the body, object characterized by performance and features of use, as well as a bearer of symbolic and cultural values.

Therefore, the degree course in Fashion Design presents a didactic that is able to transfer to the students, tools to understand the change of behavioral patterns and cultural values; the characteristics of processes, materials, technologies and processes typical of the industry; as well as the logic of competition, market positioning and sales processes, sales and communication.

Students are offered the opportunity to choose their study areas among various fashion products, which refer to the textile, knits, apparel for men, women and children.

Product Design

Students graduating from the Degree course in Industrial Product Design will have strong knowledge of design disciplines; they will be familiar with formal and functional product representation (manual and technical drawing, photography and three dimensional product modeling) and have a good grasp of the different techniques of production of digital techniques of production of digital images, visual languages, the perspective mechanisms.

Graduates will have a firm understanding of technologies for the transformation of products into prototypes and after that their industrial production. Historical context and knowledge of traditional techniques are also important, allowing students to critically evaluate products and their evolution with an eye to semiotics and aesthetics, sociology and psychology. The most important modules comprise of a project in order to allow the student to experience different parts of the development of a product and develop vital problem solving skills. This ensures the graduate has the competencies to undertake various tasks, from product and system engineering to mass production and market penetration.

Communication Design

The Degree course in Communication Design guarantees a solid foundation in communication design discipline as well as competency in methodology and technical-operations. The study of theories and methods is considered as important a part of didactic experience as design concept and actualization in workshops. In particular instrumental, technical and technological competencies are acquired in communication projects such as visual, graphical, photographic, typographic and video techniques, treatment of images, visual and audiovisual representations and mechanisms. The intention is to provide necessary competencies to manage communication design practice in its full spectrum: editorial, media, image, packaging and also interactive and multimedia communication systems supported by digital technologies

Interior Design

The degree course in Interior Design ensures that the graduates of this curse possess a solid foundation in design methodology as well as the technical and operational areas. In particular, an interior designer must know the tools and techniques to represent interior design and its various components (such as manual drawing, technical drawing, photography, three dimensional object and space management). S/He must be able to compose given spaces aesthetically, functionally and culturally adequate. Particular importance is given to the knowledge of functional distribution of activities, of design and control of micro-environmental factors (light, colour, sound), to the choice and criteria for material selection and techniques for the interventions on interiors and installation, to the economic aspects of these activities, and also to historical, cultural, sociological, sensorial and communication aspects in order to facilitate the human-spatial interaction.
