The School of Fashion & Design announces the next speaker for its industry-connect platform ‘Design Directions’ wherein we are inviting speakers from Industry to talk to our students. Dr. Anju Khanna, Partner – Patents, Lall & Sethi Advocates will be speaking on ‘Protecting your Designs and other IPR Issues for Designers’ on this platform on 19th Sept 2014, Friday, 2.30-4.30pm.

Dr. Anju Khanna has nearly 14 years’ experience in execution of Patents, other Intellectual Property Rights and scientific research with exposure at institutions of excellence like the IIT Delhi, the IISc Bangalore and the NIFT Delhi. Dr. Khanna was heading the IPR Cell at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) before joining Lall & Sethi Advocates. She has also been writing in the field of IPR and has created ‘IPR Manual’ for the benefit of students and faculty of NIFT. She has also formulated the IPR Policy and the Trade Marks Management Policy of NIFT and made significant contribution towards research and other policies of the institute.

At Lall & Sethi Dr. Khanna is handling the entire array of Patent matters involving patent drafting and filing, PCT Applications in national & international phases, prosecution, oppositions, enforcement strategies, assignments and other legal issues arising thereto. She also handles Patent matters in Bangladesh and will be handling the entire range of Patent matters for other SAARC countries (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan). Her clients in the fashion sector includes national/ international brands lik Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Quiksilver, Nike, Richemont, Woodland, Fabindia, Anokhi, Nautica and Coach, Inc.
