Introduction: Dr. Rekha Kaushal is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Education, School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education at GD Goenka University. Dr. Rekha Kaushal was a JRF scholar at Department of Education at Punjabi university Patiala. Her Area of Interests lies in Mathematics Education, Vedic Mathematics, and use of ICT in Teaching and Learning. She brings in the international exposure as worked with the professor of University of Worcester, UK and students of schools of UK. She has presented her research work at many national and international conferences and published papers in reputed peer reviewed and SCOPUS indexed journals.
She got Certificate of Merit in Master of philosophy in Education from Lovely Professional
University, and received “Best Research Paper” award at 8th International Conference of Global
Educational Research Association held at King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thailand.
She worked as the subject matter expert and developed and presented 2 Modules of MOOCS
Courses in Education in association with Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. She developed
multimedia modules in her Ph.D. and are uploaded and available on YOUTUBE.
She always believes that a teacher inspires numerous students every year, and a positive
influence of teacher can change the lives of many human beings. As the educator of student
teachers, she firmly believes that apart for teaching students the course content, the education of
moral character, values and empathy is equally important which will make them a better human
being. University teachers must employ the same passion of scholarly inquiry and engagement in
their teaching as they do in their research. She is convinced that “The best thing about being a
teacher is that it matters. The hardest thing about being a teacher is that it matters every day”.
