Dr. Hitashi LomashAssociate Dean
Dr. Hitashi Lomash B.A.(Psychology Honours, Punjabi University), M.A (Psychology, Punjabi University), Ph.D. (IIT Roorkee) is Associate Dean and Professor of Psychology at G D Goenka University. Prior to this, Hitashi held academic positions at various prestigious institutions. She was Professor of Management at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussorie, where she had trained civil servants across 22 civil services. She has teaching experience of more than a decade at Thapar University, Patiala. She has also taught at Amity University Haryana. She ranked second in order of merit in her M.A. (Psychology) and has been a scholarship holder during her entire educational stint. She earned a PhD for completing a doctoral study on ‘Relationship of Emotional Intelligence and Locus of Control with Leadership Effectiveness and Coping Strategy: A Cultural Approach’ at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (India). Hitashi specialises in multidisciplinary research and cultural computing. She has presented several papers at international and national conferences and seminars. She is also widely published in reputed international and national journals such as Wireless Personal Communication, Food Quality and Safety, International Journal of Computer Applications, and International Journal of Scientific and Engineering Research. In 2010 she served as Guest Scientist at Max Planck Institute of Human Development (Germany) for three months. Hitashi has also completed a collaborative research project with Kyoto University (Japan) and completed a study tour sponsored by the Government of India at the Civil Services College, London, England. She serves as Editor in several academic journals. She teaches and researches in domains such as organisational behaviour, basic cognitive processes, group dynamics and team building, counselling, psychological assessment, social research methods, cognitive psychology, psychopathology, and personality.
