Siddhi Gupta, a IInd Year student of BA Honours Economics has been selected for internship with National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation for a period of two months. NSTFDC is an apex Organization under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. It was constituted in 2001 and was brought into existence with the sole aim of economic upliftment of the Scheduled Tribes in the country by way of extending concessional financial assistance to the target group under its various schemes.
Siddhi’s internship period will be during June-July, 2016. She will be placed at the corporate office and will be trained in all core functional areas. Through this training not only will she develop an understanding of economic activities of importance to the scheduled tribes so as to generate employment and raise their level of income, but also assist in the up-gradation of skills and processes used by the Scheduled Tribes through providing both institutional and on the job training to them. Siddhi is an intelligent and hardworking student. This experience at NSTFDC will add value to her as a professional. Congratulations Siddhi!
