Human resource management is the backbone of all the organizations. It matches the manpower requirements both for the present and futuristic needs. The programme comprises of learning by practical work, case studies, industry interface, research findings, and dissertation covering different areas of human resource management. Students will get an in-depth understanding both from the administrative and behavioral aspects of the subject. It prepares them for their futuristic role learning different perspectives. It will also help them become a better professional because human resource management function is common for every other management function in an organization.

School of Management has also collaboration with British Standards Institution (BSI), a leading global independent business services organization that develop standards to help business and industry for the delivery of specialized courses in Management Systems and Business Performance Programmes. Programme Educational Objectives

  • The PGDHRM course covers various aspects of HRM to help students gain understanding of various management trends followed in an organization from planning to execution of various strategies aligning organization’s objectives.
  • To help students learn new techniques and innovations in Human Resource.
  • To make students aware of the needs of the fast growing and changing Human Resource environment and practices.

Programme Outcomes

Towards the end of the programme, students will be able to:

Programme Highlights

Teaching is done through interactive sessions in the classroom. Real life scenarios and situations are shared through videos, audios, role plays, tutorials and group work. Emphasis is laid on practical work which is simulated through case studies, actual projects and learning by doing. The knowledge and skills of students are assessed by innovative techniques. The parameters for assessment are professionally developed for each competency. Entry Requirements

An undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline from UGC approved University. In addition, applicants will also have to successfully complete a Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA) and appear for a personal interview.
