School of Management had organized a guest lecture on “College Life: A special insight into yourself” for the students of BBA – II Year and MBA – IYear in Block – A, Multi-purpose Hall, SoM, GDGU on 18 April’2016. The Resource person for the lecture was Dr. Rachna Khanna Singh, who is presently working as anHOD in Psychology and Holistic Health at Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon.

Dr. P.K.Goel, Dean, SoM felicitated Dr. Rachna for the Guest Lecture. Dr. Esha Jain, Assistant Professor – SoM, introduced the speaker and the topic of the lecture to the students.

In her lecture Dr. Rachnadiscussed about the various aspects of theModern Lifestyle with special reference to Eating disorders, Stress and Lifestyle. She also emphasized the issues related to faulty lifestyle in particular to the student’s college life and its ultimate and long term effect on the various aspects and the phases of life. In order to improve the daily lifestyle and the relationships at the personal and the professional level, Dr. Rachna discussed about the different strategies to overcome stress and the peer pressure with the help of time management and SMART goal setting. In between, she included a number of videos and activities to keep the students focused and engaged with her throughout the session. It was indeed an enriching session for the students.
