The Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Supply Chain Management is for students from diverse background. The programme has core courses, elective courses, practical work, case studies, industry interface and research covering interdisciplinary areas of management. Students will be exposed to global management practices alongwith theoretical constructs. The Healthcare Industry is one of the biggest and fastest growing industries. Supply chain management is more complex in healthcare as compared to other industries as it has direct impact on the health of the people who require adequate medical supplies in accordance with the patient’s needs.

Programme Educational Objectives

  • Develop the students to become effective managers and leaders in Healthcare Sector.
  • Develop a basic understanding about health commodities, key strengths and gaps.
  • Understand the methodology, tools and key processes to estimate the country’s needs for health commodities.

At the end of the programme, students will be able to:

  • understand the Healthcare Supply Chain and procurement in local as well as global perspective
  • design and develop efficient inventory and distribution system for medicinal requirements
  • plan and develop cost effective and qualitative procurement system

Programme Highlights

Teaching is done through interactive sessions in the classroom. Real life situation and scenarios are shared through videos, audios, role plays, tutorials and group work. Emphasis is laid on practical learning which is simulated through case studies and live projects. The knowledge and skills of students are assessed by innovative techniques and scientific parameters.

Entry Requirements

An undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline from UGC approved University. In addition, applicants will also to successfully complete Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA) and appear for a personal interview.
