Anjali Menon, IInd year student of BA Psychology (Honours) interning with Com Mutiny The Youth Collective (CYC). CYC was set up in 2008 to promote the rights of young people for participation, development and leadership. CYC is a collective of nearly 50 youth led and youth engaging organizations that work in collaboration to promote youth leadership by creating what they call 5th Spaces” across the country.The 5th Space is an exciting, adventurous and yet safe space that equips young people to understand themselves, address conflicts, build cross-border relationships, clarify their values/stances, and develop leadership skills by enabling them become learners for life and nurture a learning society along with them. Their mission is to facilitate engagement of youth in social change action through building understanding, acceptability and demand for 5th Space across stakeholder groups.

During the internship, Anjali will get an opportunity to work not only in CYC but also with its other partners. She will be creating contents for CYC future projects like Samjho Toh Express. Samjho Toh Express is an initiative by Com Mutiny and its forum members which aims at cultivating cross border friendships through an experiential journey which will help the youth in reflecting and breaking the stereotypes that they hold for other communities, genders, castes, religions, ethnic backgrounds etc. CYC has published a book called The Ocean in a Drop,she will also be working for the upcoming edition.

Anjali is an intelligent and enthusiastic student. This opportunity will give her an edge as a professional and add to her growth.
