The CSR club at The CSR club at G D Goenka University recently initiated an activity named ‘Ek Jodi Kapda’. This drive ran for about 20 days wherein all the faculty members and students were requested to donate old clothes which were further distributed to underprivileged through DLF Foundation, philanthropic wing of DLF Limited.

Everybody actively took part in the drive and contributed a good mix of clothes, shoes, bags etc. The collection was handed over to Roopee Sahaee, Deputy Manager, CSR, DLF Foundation by our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Raj Singh. The donations were further given to Goonj Foundation of Delhi which segregated the clothes, shoes and other items as per the requirement of children/women/elders/youth. The clothes will be distributed to community members who have been contributing their time for the upliftment of their villages and community on the whole.

The CSR club at G D Goenka University would be working closely with NGOs in the coming future. Faculty members and students are part of the club and will be thinking of ways to help the society. These activities would also encourage students to actively take part in the development of society and inculcate in them a sense of responsibility and sensitivity.
