Learning is a treasure that follows its owner everywhere. Visit to the IHC was a good learning experience for the students of School of Architecture and Planning, GDGU. Students were accompanied by their Design and Materiality faculty members, Ms Bharti Chadha and Ms Mukta Rai Saxena.
As you enter the premises, the rambling tall building of the IHC captivates and mesmerizes at first sight. It is the place where design and technology lend selfless helping hands in order to create a synergic natural environment. Open courtyards with shading devices and angular panels are a visual treat.
Students were taken to India Habitat Centre on 14th September’15. IHC, New Delhi is a building complex with different blocks therefore it was one of the best examples for students to understand axis, symmetry, hierarchy and other ordering principles and study different building materials.Students also saw glass sculptures and oil paintings at Palm Court Gallery and Visual Art Gallery as an exposure to different mediums and different forms of expressions in art.
