First Year Engineering Student Selected for Free Residential Certification Course at IIT-Delhi Through NCAT – 2016

NCAT (National Creativity Aptitude Test) 2016, an initiative of International Forum for Excellence in Higher Education (IFEHE) was conducted at GD Goenka University on 1st March, 2016. GD Goenka University is one of the 165 Colleges and Universities across India where this test is conducted. For Round 1 of the test 31 enthusiastic participants from GD Goenka School of Engineering, pursuing undergraduate degree in engineering, appeared. Out of these, 5 students qualified for the next round at Janak Puri, New Delhi.

In Round 2, students went through various activities related to the assessment of their logical reasoning, data Interpretation & pattern recognition skills and creativity. After that, they also participated in some physical activities on achievement motivation.

In the final result of NCAT–2016, Diksha Suri, First year Chemical Engineering student of GD Goenka School of Engineering secured a position in the top 15 under Category-1 students. This is a great achievement for her as it means that she will get an opportunity for a free one-week residential certification course on “Creativity and Innovation” at IIT Delhi.

GD Goenka School of Engineering is a new age institution which encourages its students to participate in such activities which are targeted towards their holistic development.
