The GATE exam opens doors to higher ranked Government/Private colleges for admissions in M.Tech. as well as job opportunities in PSEs. PSEs are public sector companies that have comparative advantages and have been given greater autonomy to compete in the global market so as to support them in their drive to become global giants that include BHEL, GAIL, NTPC etc. The requirements for recruitment in different companies as well as colleges were discussed. The trending projects and activities that the students should take up were also scheduled in the session.
The students were also briefed about the scope of various fields like Big Data, Networking, and Cloud Computing. The session was very interactive. All the queries the students had regarding their career and the fields they want to specialize in were answered. The students got to learn about the industry and its functioning.
While the students thoroughly enjoyed the “learning made fun” session, due to shortage of time they had to leave soon. They were promised another session in coming future. The visit turned out to be a success as all students returned inspired and informed.
