On 24th September 2015, School of Hospitality GD Goenka University organised a Mocktail Workshop in the training restaurant.

A well renowned mixologist, Mr Vijay Sharma was invited to craft a mocktail session. In keeping with an existing trend to inspire young generation, mocktails are all about being innovative. Yet they are easy to replicate and attractive for beverage industry.

Mr Vijay Sharma, currently working as Assistant Restaurant Manager in Crown Plaza Gurgaon, has been in the Food and Beverage Department of hospitality sector for over eight years now. He has rich experience in Bar & Lounge operations. He won several cocktail making competitions.

In this creative session he crafted a mocktail menu inspired by his own creations and provided a stage to share the following crafted mocktails to develop young talent.

  1. HOME MADE GINGERALE
  2. HERBAL MIX
  3. TROPICAL PUNCH
  4. VIRGIN PUNCH

He engaged and motivated students for active participation in making mocktails. Students enjoyed and learned a lot and the last cocktail was made by students on their own.

Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Raj Singh and Dr. Nitesh Bansal, Registrar also graced the event with their presence.
