Objectives of Activity

  • Develop communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understand the challenges and opportunities in the rural environment.

Learning Outcomes

After the completion of this activity, the participants will be able to

  • Enhance the communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Equip students to design and demonstrate the marketing strategies (product & information) for rural consumers.

Activity Description:Management students participated actively in the Role play and Group discussion activity in rural context conducted by Marketing Club. Students were divided into four groups and assigned the task to design the marketing strategyof FMCG products such as Hair oil, Eggs, Mobile phones and Neem toothpaste for rural consumers. Students presented well and discussed various aspects of rural marketing strategies to their best possible.

Students enjoyed this 60 minutes activity and were overwhelmed to associate themselves with the rural consumers and challenges faced by them in purchasing products from FMCG companies.Students understood the importance of buying behaviour of rural consumers and advertising awareness in the marketing world.
