Bachelor in Pharmacy is a 4-year graduate programme that provides professionals with the opportunity to work in a variety of pharmaceutical-related fields, such as research, pharmaceutical production, regulation, sales, marketing, and many more. After completion of the course, the students will be able to understand the effects of food & drugs on the human body, the mechanistic study of drugs on human organs, and the drug development process from a natural, biological, semisynthetic, or synthetic base. Students will also be skilled in formulating different dosage forms, evaluating their clinical efficacy, handling prescription in hospital and community pharmacy.
Programme Outcomes:
PO1. Apply the fundamental concepts and applications of pharmaceutical sciences, mathematics, biomedical sciences, pharma engineering, socio-behavioural sciences, industrial management, and drug regulation to solve the complex issues in pharma & health care industry.
PO2. Able to plan and manage the resources, time, & manpower in resolving the intricate issues of the organization.
PO3. Design & develop pharmaceuticals by critical thinking to ensure environmental sustainability, economic safety, socio-cultural health.
PO4. Apply the pharmaceutical & professional knowledge to bring novel research in core sciences & health care.
PO5. Build and enhance the skills to accommodate leadership & teamwork quality.
PO6. Applying the knowledge of ethical practices and human values as professional pharmacist in hospital, industrial or institutional setups.
PO7. Demonstrate the effective communication with medical professionals, patients and members of society as pharmacist.
PO8. Demonstrate the code of ethics and uphold the laws for upliftment of pharmacy profession & community.
PO9. Select & apply the novel techniques, software and modern tools in predicting diseases, development of drugs & targeted delivery systems.
PO10. Understand and apply the principal of environment protection and sustainability in pharmaceutical production, and drug disposal.
PO11. Understand the need to enhance the knowledge & skills to engage in life long learnings and applying it for advanced pharma therapy.
Program Specific Outcomes
PSO1. The graduates will acquire the comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences related to pharmacopoeal & non-pharmacopoeal drugs, method of extraction/synthesis/development and analysis, anatomy, physiology, biological receptors, molecular pharmacology, microbiology & biotechnology, evaluation of drug efficacy, pharmaceutical jurisprudence, industrial management, & hospital/community pharmacy to serve as professional pharmacist.
PSO2. Graduate will able to serve or start own business in pharmaceutical research, production, analysis, drug regulatory bodies, marketing, retail or wholesale business, and education/research institutions.
PSO3. Graduate will able to understand the need of research and higher education for updating knowledge and applying it into profession of pharmacy.

The syllabus for B Pharmacy includes anatomy, physiology and health and Education, Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Pharma Jurisprudence, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharma Analysis, Pharma Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics.

Admission Requirement
The following are the eligibility Criteria for admission in B Pharmacy courses for both National and International Students (4-year):
- The candidate should attain the age of 17 years or more on 31-12-2021.The age shall be determined as per entry in the Matriculation/Secondary school or its equivalent examination certificate.
- Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective State/ Central Government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M.) and or Biology (P.C.B/P.C.B.M.) as optional subjects individually.
- Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India
equivalent to any of the above examinations.
Minimum Academic Qualifications for B. Pharmacy (in 2nd year through Lateral Entry):
- If you are a D.Pharm holder and want to join the B Pharmacy courses in GD Goenka University, you can apply for direct admission to B.Pharm 2nd year shall pass those subjects of B.Pharm Ist year which are not covered under D.Pharm.
- Process for admissions as prescribed by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES)/ Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is strictly followed for admission in B. Pharmacy programs. Students should explore the website www.hstes.org.in for the detailed admission process through centralized counseling.
