Six delegates from British universities visited G. D. Goenka University as a part of Law Mission of British Council and shared their knowledge with the students on a range of legal issues on January 18, 2016.
Dr Simon Sneddon (Senior Lecturer in Law, University of Northampton) and Prof Charlotte Skeet (Lecturer in Law, University of Sussex)made a presentation on ‘Involvement of organised crime groups in the international trade in endangered species’ while Prof Matthew Sadler (Lecturer in Business & Communication on Law, Staffordshire University) spoke on ‘The Law of Obligations: Contract Law & Tort Law in our Everyday Lives’.
Prof Andrew Baker (Senior Lecturer, Liverpool John Moores University) shed light on ‘Structure of bank regulation’ while Prof Mel Kenny (Chair of EU Law, University of Exeter) spoke on ‘Harmonisation of transnational commercial law’. Prof John Tingle (Reader in Health Law, Nottingham Trent University) made a presentation on ‘Medical and health law.’
The presentations were followed by an hour of interaction between the visiting professors and the Faculty of the School of Law and Dean, Academics. Among other things, the two sides explored possibilities of academic linkages between G.D. Goenka University and British universities.
