Professional Biography

Shachi Gurani Bharadwaj works on a fraction-time basis at G D Goenka University. She has more than 13 years experience as a practitioner, majority of which is in the field of real estate and construction sectors. Her area of expertise is construction management with focus on design management and design coordination. She has worked with large companies such as Ansal API (Delhi) and Reliance Capital (Mumbai) where she worked on integrated townships and hi-tech township projectsa. She has also worked with architectural firms such as Abhijit Ray & Associates and Suresh Goel & Associates on large scale institutional, residential, industrial and commercial projects. She has been associatedwith the School of Architecture & Planning at G D Goenka University from 2019.

She completed her Bachelors of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi in 2005 and as part of training she worked on various conservation projects across Himachal Pradesh and Punjab with the Indian National Trust for Art & Cultural Heritage. After three years of work experience in Delhi, she completed a Postgraduate Program in Advance Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Pune (2010). As part of the training, she worked on Construction Site Project Management and Design Management with Design Documentation with SYCone CPMC, Bangalore.

Current Research

Shachi’s current research interests are on studying construction strategies of sustainable architecture and the principles of construction project management and feasibility studies with policy framework in India.
