B.Ed.

After the completion of this course, student-teachers would have acquired the professional competencies required in the field of education/teaching with some practice through the internship period. Student-teachers would be able to make use of various methods and approaches of organizing learning experiences for secondary and senior secondary school students. Student-teachers would understand select methods and approaches that can help in dealing with the academic and personal problems of learners. As a teacher/instructor/researcher student-teachers would be able to facilitate active involvement of learners for creation and construction of knowledge and design various procedures and techniques for evaluation of teaching learning processes. This course would help Student- teachers appreciate the role of teachers in prevailing socio-cultural and political systems in general, and the educational system.

The student-teachers become eligible for teaching in schools at Secondary and Senior Secondary levels. They can also work as Principals/Headmistresses/Headmasters of schools, Content Developers with various educational organizations and publishing houses, Education Officers at various Government Organizations, Academic Coordinators and Supervisors, Administrators and Managers of schools and other educational institutions. Besides this, with a strong and extensive professional training they can open, establish and run their own schools/institutions as well.

Integrated B.A./B.Sc.- B.Ed.

This programme will enable student-teachers to gain subject specific knowledge and insight along with specific pedagogical knowledge and skills. We provide an opportunity to practice skills and approaches for enhancing understanding of subject matter knowledge to be taught in secondary schools through rigorous and enriching teaching and internship period in order to develop student-teachers professional abilities.

The Programme makes them capable of working as Academic Coordinators and Supervisors. Besides this, with a strong and extensive professional training, these student-teachers can open, establish and manage their own schools.

M.A.(Education)

On completion of the Programme, the student-teachers will be able to practice the various aspects of development of a learner while integrating the skills of research methods and data analysis techniques. They would be able to implement different strategies of curriculum development and instruction and highlight the differences and unique features of higher education systems of the world.

This programme prepares individuals for roles such as, Education Officers, Education Administrators and Managers in a range of educational institutions. The student-teachers can work in the education field at various positions such as Directors, Deputy Directors, Principals, Vice-Principals, Headmistresses/Headmasters, Academic Coordinators and Supervisors etc. The programme enables the candidate to teach the Foundation courses of Teacher Education programme. The programme is designed to develop research skills and therefore opens up research avenues too.

MBA (Educational Leadership and Management)

Graduates are prepared for roles such as, Education Officers, Education Administrators and Managers in a range of educational institutions. The graduates can work in the education field at various positions and develop processes, understand requirements and manage educational institutions. The programme also develops research skills which helps the graduate understand market forces better.  They may also find employment in Education Thinktanks and Edu Tech companies.  The career profile is to assume a leadership position in five years and the compensation will be similar to C-Suite position.

Diploma in Education (Montessori System)

The curriculum of Diploma in Education (Montessori System) programme is a seamless blend of the internationally acclaimed Montessori Method and Indian cultural values. The programme not only focuses on enhancing the knowledge about Montessori philosophy and the methodology of teaching - learning based on it but also caters to the requirement of ICT related skills in teachers.

The career opportunities on completion of Diploma in Education (Montessori System) programme include teaching in Montessori Play Schools, Nursery Schools and other schools providing early childhood care and education. The students can also work as academic coordinators at pre-primary level, Nursery schools and Play Schools.

Post Graduate Diploma in Education Management (Montessori System)

On successful completion of this programme learners would be able to reflect on various theories, practices and researches of educational leadership and management. PGDEM provides an opportunity to develop essential skills, competencies and values needed for leading and managing schools and the skills required to analyze various political, social, cultural and economic factors influencing educational leadership and management.

The career opportunities for student-teachers of PGDEM (MS) programme include teaching in Montessori schools, Nursery schools, nursery and lower primary classes at formal schools, Anganwadis and Play Schools etc. The student-teachers can also work as administrators, school managers, headmistresses/headmasters, principals, academic coordinators, academic supervisors at pre-primary level, Nursery schools, Play Schools, Anganwadis and also as Montessori Skilled Trainer.

PG Diploma in Education Technology (PGDET)

With the passage of time, technology mediated education is becoming the norm rather than an exception. This is true not only for distance teaching and learning but also in situations involving face to face teaching and learning. Today it is necessary for teachers and trainers and those associated with the development of educational soft wares to gear up for educational processes that embed technology. The programme, Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Technology (PGDET) has been developed to provide knowledge and skills related to this area.

The career opportunities on completion of this programme include teaching in schools, e-learning experts, software developers, Program Manager, Multimedia Content Developer. The students can also work as ‘Educomp’ coordinators, Technical Assistant and Curriculum designer in Private and Govt. Institutions.
