Professional Biography

Dr. Aabha Sharma’s expertise is in the area of teacher education, educational technology and science education.

Aabha has 20 years experience in the education sector. Prior to taking up her current role, Aabha worked as Principal, Head of Department, Teacher, Counsellor and University Grants Commission Junior Research Fellow.

Aabha holds a PhD Education, M.Ed., B.Ed., and M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She was a Gold Medallist in both her B,Ed and M.Ed. programme, Aabha also holds an MBA (HR) from Sikkim Manipal University and has completed a certificate course from NCERT in Action Research. Aabha is NRT qualified.

Current Research

Dr. Sharma is in the area of educational technology, educational psychology, teacher education, science education and behaviour modification. As a PhD Supervisor she is guiding her scholars who are doing research in the area of gender sensitization, skill Development and ICT.

She was also researcher in a project by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi and Observed Teachers Training Program in DPEP-I States. She was actively involved in data interpretation and analysis of ‘Programme Evaluation of Early Literacy’ in two states (Maharashtra and Karnataka), organized by the Early Literacy Programme, DEE, NCERT, New Delhi. Her current research interest is focused on MOOC, LMS and Emerging Technologies. At present she is doing a comparative study on Impact of Emerging Technologies on the Job Performances of Educators in Tertiary Institutions in India and Nigeria.
