School of Education organized guest lectures on Artificial Intelligence on the 11th and 12th of April 2019 respectively. The course has been included in the curriculum of the Teacher Education programme looking at the necessity of the concept in the present times and its use in the modern pedagogy.
The two topics chosen for the guest lectures were,‘Artificial Intelligence’ and ‘Machine Learning’. The lecture on 11th April, 2019 was taken by Ms. VaishaliArya, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering, GD Goenka University. She deliberated on Artificial Intelligence: Definitions, Meaning, Early Milestones in Artificial Intelligence, Types of Artificial Intelligence and Ways to achieve Artificial Intelligence. The second lecture which was held on Friday,12th April, 2019 was taken by Ms. NehaKapoor, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering, G D Goenka University, was about the Basic concepts about Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, Vision , Robotics and autonomous Vehicles.The resource persons made the sessions very interactive and the students enjoyed learning about this modern concept. They were given this opportunity to present ideas to show as to where and how AI can be used by school teachers to make teaching and learning an easy and enjoyable affair.
