REPORT ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME – II

School Experience Program (SEP) happens to be the most essential and significant curricular activity of the TeacherEducation Program. During the present semester student-teachers fromB.Ed. Semester-II went to two schools i.e. G.D. Goenka World School, Gurugram and Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bhondsi, Gurugram for the SEP from the 4th of February, 2019.They are sent to these two types of schools so that the student-teachers get an understanding of both the types of schools and how they function for the same cause.

The SEP is an integral part of the Teacher Education Program as the students get to experience school environment in real setting. The objective of the program was to understand various components of the school management. They had been assigned some activities to perform, for instance, to explore the roles and responsibilities of Heads of the School, use of ICT in time-table construction, types of registers and records etc. so as to closely evaluate the processes involved in school management. They got an opportunity to practice the use of ICT in Time-table construction. Students interacted with the principals and members of staffwho made them aware about the expectationfrom future school teachers and the responsibilities they may shoulder apart from regular classroom teaching.
