Professional Biography

Nikhil Saini is an expert in front office and accommodation operations pertaining to hotels, travel companies and government vocational projects.

Prior to taking up the current role at G D Goenka University in 2019, Nikhil Saini served in several positions: Assistant Professor (Front Office Management), Chandigarh Group of Colleges; Travel and Tourism Trainer for conducting training per the National Skill Qualification Framework; teacher at Senior Secondary School Teekli, Gurugram; and sales and executive positions with Vivanta by Taj, Surajkund, Faridabad; R.J Trade Wings Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana; and Adiona Travels Pvt. Ltd, Gurugram.

Nikhil is pursuing his PhD from the G D Goenka University. He has completed a Masters in Tourism from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak; and Bachelors in Hotel Management Catering Technology and Tourism from the Punjab Technical University, Jalandher.

Current Research

Nikhil Saini current research interests are focused on homestays tourism development in the Indian Himalayan regions. He is specifically focused on factors that influence the popularity of homestay tourism in these areas.
