Professional Biography

Simant Seth has more than twelve years experience in education, operations and training, and sales. He started his career with ‘The Trident Gurgaon’, a contemporary luxury hotel belonging to ‘The Oberoi Group’. He worked in food and beverage operations, sales and marketing. Simant was responsible for banquet and room sales.

For more than four years, Simant was a faculty member for food and beverage services for the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Bhopal. Post that, he worked with the Trident, Hyderabad (The Oberoi Group) taking care of event sales. He has also worked as Assistant Manager Training with Marigold Hotels, Hyderabad. He was responsible for developing soft skills and technical training for the Hotel staff. Just prior to joining G D Goenka University, Simant was with the ‘The Imperial’, a luxury hotel in located at Janpath, New Delhi.

Simant earned a ‘Bachelors of Science in Hotel Management and Hospitality Administration’ from the Institute of Hotel Management, Applied Nutrition and Catering Technology, Srinagar (Recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and NCHMCT, Noida); and a ‘Masters in Science in Hospitality Management and Hotel Administration’ from Annamalai University (Central University); and a ‘Bachelor's of Commerce’ from Bhopal University (Central University).

Current Research

Mr. Simant Seth’s interest is in hospitality international restaurant concepts, alcoholic beverages (wine and spirits) and food menu development for premium restaurants.

Contribution to Profession and ​​Awards

Member of the Wilderness Lodges and Eco-Friendly Practices Survey team for Bandhav Garh and Kanha kisli for the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Conducted training sessions for Hunar Se Rozgar for the Ministry of Tourism, under the Skill Development Programme.
