Professional Biography

Parul Mishra is an expert in British and Indian Drama, Modern English Poetry, Phonetics, Communication Skills with a background of English Literature. She has taught these subjects for nearly 12 years and has been involved in research extensively in the field of drama, theatre, mythology, folklore, existential concerns, feminine sensibility and cognitive approaches of teaching English language.

Prior joining to GD Goenka University in 2016, Parul served as a Lecturer at ITM University, Gurugram, (now Northcap University) and Assistant Professor at M D University, Rohtak.

Parul Mishra holds a PhD ​from Banasthali University (Rajasthan); MA (English)​  and BA (English, Sociology & Ancient History) from​ ​the Poorvanchal ​University.​

Parul’s current research interests focus on employability skills, soft skills, Indian classical drama and the philosophy of Sufism.

Current Research

Priyanka Khanna’s research is focussed on the history of a section of women who had to live as the concubines of Rajput Maharajas in early modern Marwar in Western Rajasthan.  Within the ambit of her wider research, she explores the agency of women, the evolution of gender relations and the histories of regions, economy, emotions and state formation.
