Capsule Course on Banking Laws

School of Law organized a capsule course on “Lending & Security Creation in Banking Business”for the Corporate law (hons.) students to make them familiar with the Banking Laws which is an important segment of Corporate Law. It was a five day course with the introductory lecture on 20th Feb, 2019 and remaining lectures on 25th-28th Feb, 2019. The resource person for this capsule course was Ms. Loree Sonchhatra who is banking & finance lawyer and has more than 10 years of experience in banking, finance and general corporate matters. She was part of the legal team at ICICI Bank Limited.

This course has introduced students to the cardinal principles of lending followed by banks. The course has enabled the law students in understanding the legalities and crucial elements of various kinds of bank loans and lending arrangements. This course has been extremely useful for law students who seek to work as in-house counsels in banks; who intend to join the banking & finance team of law firms and who wish to work as independent banking & finance lawyers;
