The GD Goenka Centre for Leadership and Social Responsibility (GDG-CLSR) has been set up to plan and implement initiative by GDGU in the service of the various communities and the society, of which we are an integral part. The different schools of GDGU have always been involved with organising several events and programmes in the service of society (like blood donation camps, collection drive for warm clothes, psychological counselling of prison inmates, skill development training of underprivileged women, etc), but it was felt that to create a long term impact, it is necessary to bring these separate initiatives under a single umbrella and to provide an integrated long term vision for all these activities which aim to positively impact our local communities, the society, and ultimately, the world.

Around the year, GD Goenka International Centre organizes various events such as Orientation Program, Outings and Get together for the international students. Apart from these events, GDGIC also facilitates English Learning Program (ELP) for students from countries where English is not the first language. There is also the Buddy program where native students are associated with foreign students as buddies to ease their transition into a new environment.
