School of Management, GD Goenka University, Gurgaon organised the third edition of its Marketing Meet on November 18, 2022. The theme of the meet was based on Importance of AI in marketing and was aptly titled as “The Big Reset: AI Driven Marketing.” The Marketing Meet brought together representatives from the corporate and academic world on a single platform to explore the significance and effects of AI and machine learning on marketing while also considering the impact on different industry verticals and the emerging corporate landscape. 

The event was inaugurated with Sarasvati Vandana and lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. The welcome address was delivered by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, GD Goenka University, Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad and Dean, School of Management, Prof. (Dr.) Alok Pandey gave the opening remarks. Dr. Dhirendra Parihar, Registrar, GD Goenka University, graced the event with his presence. The keynote address was delivered by the chief guest of the event Mr. Awanish Prasad, Director - Product, Paytm. In his address, he spoke about the varied perceptions of AI and the myths related to AI. This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Sudipta Sen Gupta, Associate Professor, School of Management. The panelists comprised of Mr Indranil Chakravarty, Chief Business Officer - Aqualens, Lenskart; Ms Nidhi Varma Srivastava, Vice President of Global Product Leadership, NeilsenIQ Bases; Mr Manish Goyal, Director of Cloud Native Industry, Oracle; Ms Pragati Srivastava, Senior Executive of Marketing, CollegeDekho and Mr. Udit Kumar, Strategic Marketing Manager, ValueFirst. The panel experts discussed the impact of Al on marketing by utilising cutting-edge and clever technologies. They emphasised that AI can be used in a number of marketing scenarios. They presented their insights on how AI driven marketing is being employed in their respective companies. They also discussed the problems and prospects of AI driven marketing. 

This was followed by the valedictory ceremony. The chief guest of the valedictory session was Mr Arunabh Das Sharma, CEO and MD, Sagacito Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In his session, he discussed a few issues such as how technology is disrupting traditional marketing, the tectonic shifts and tech trends in marketing, and the role of creators and influencers in marketing in the present times. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepti Wadera, Associate Professor, School of Management. The event was a huge success and witnessed active participation by over 300 students.
