6th Student Project Exhibition on Engineering Design (SPEED 2022)

6 th Student Project Exhibition on Engineering Design (SPEED 2022) was organized by
School of Engineering and Sciences, GD Goenka University, Gurugram in hybrid mode on
10 th Oct 2022.
SoES hosted 500 participants for SPEED 2022 with external participants both from India and abroad with over 150 teams exhibiting ideas over 08 themes spanning over (but not limited to) technology, renewable energy, smart nation, automobile, robotics and agriculture. The event started with the Welcome address by the Convener and Head of the School of Engineering & Sciences, Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Sharma. Prof. Sharma welcomed the guests and all the participants. He discussed about the significance of SPEED 2022. Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Dutt, Dean Academics also addressed the audience with his words of wisdom.

The occasion was further graced by the Chief Guest, Shree Indrajit Ghosh, Chairman, MSME Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India who enunciated the importance of the micro & small finances for entrepreneurial guidance. He also explained about several schemes and possible future GoI mechanisms in the development of the small businesses of the Nation and the important role that MSME can play in their development. He then informed the students on the unique ways they can develop academically and enrich their lives in the future.

The keynote speaker, Mr. Kush Mehrotra, CEO, IMZ Corporate Private Limited extended his time in student project viewing and interactions. The second half of SPEED’s inspiration-led conversation with Guest of honour, Dr. Rishikesh Patankar, CEO, CSC-E- Services Limited, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, concluded with a vibrant Cultural Programme performed by students of SoES. Prizes were awarded for best project in various themes. SPEED organizing committee secretaries, Ms. Manka Sharma and Ms. Ashu Gautam, shared the concluding remarks and vote of thanks, respectively.
