PARTICIPATION IN “ROKO THALASSEMIA” RALLY

“Treatment without prevention is simply unsustainable”
Physiotherapy students from SoMAS, GD Goenka University, participated in “Roko Thalassemia” seminar and awareness Rally organised by Artemis Hospitals in association with Mahavir International and Indian Red Cross Society, Gurugram, on January 7, 2018. More than 250 bikers joined the campaign to spread awareness about the disease. Expressing concern over the growing number of thalassemia patients, Dr. Gaurav Kharya, Senior Consultant and Head Paediatric Hemato-oncology and bone marrow transplant at Artemis Hospital, urged the youth to check their thalassemia status before getting married or planning children. A free thalassemia (HbA2) camp was also conducted on this occasion.
