A Report Data Analysis Activity conducted by Dr. Bulbul Ahmed

On February 25 th , 2022, School of Agriculture Sciences (SoAS), GD Goenka University, organized a Skill development Activity on data analysis for their final year students. Data Analysis is a very important skill required in any field, pursuing higher studies or into an industry. To equip the students with this basic skill, the activity was host by Dr. Bulbul Ahmed, Assistant Professor, to provide the students with practical guidance and hands on experience.

Dr. Ahmed emphasized the importance of data analysis in the field of agricultural sciences, and provided students with an overview of the basic techniques and tools used for data analysis. Students were given the opportunity to practice these techniques through hands-on exercises and were provided with feedback on their performance.

The activity focused to make students easily do statistical analysis like summation, average, standard deviation, correlation etc. using Microsoft Excel. In addition to data analysis, the
sessions also made students aware of how to operate Microsoft Excel and basic functions in it. Dr. Ahmed addressed each students individually to make them fluent with the process. He also provided students with tips on how to effectively to manage data and communicate their findings to a wider audience.

The sessions were very mindfully designed to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in data analysis using Microsoft Excel that are essential for success in the field of agricultural sciences. By participating in the workshops, students were able to develop their data analysis skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of these skills in their chosen field.

In conclusion, the activity conducted by Dr. Ahmed provided valuable insights and guidance on the importance of data analysis. By learning this, students will be better equipped to succeed in their careers and make a positive impact in the field of agricultural sciences. Such activities provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to make a lasting impact in their careers.
