ALUMNI MEET 2020

To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the Alumni Meet was conducted on 18th January 2020 from 12 noon to 4:30 pm. It happened on the campus of the G D Goenka University. The meet started with a welcome address to the gathering. It was matter of great pride for GDGU that its alumni had turned up on campus to be with their Alma Mater and it contributed to the strengthening of the linkage between the alumni and GDGU and current students in regard to enhancing the esteem and prestige of GDGU and as a source of support network.

The meet was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Jayasankar Variyar, Pro Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Dean of Student Welfare and International Relations, Deans of various Schools, faculty and staff members of GD Goenka University. The occasion was graced by Alumni ranging across various batches from various parts of the country. The objective of the event was to engage with the alumni, bring them back to the University and reconnect with their friends, classmates and faculty and share their experiences of life on campus and in the industry.

The Inaugural session was followed by experience sharing by the alumni who praised the faculty and the University for a great experience in education. It was nostalgic for them to be back and reconnect with everyone. The cultural programme in the form of old song medley and performances by the band ‘Raga Rocks’ kept the audience entertained till the evening. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen chatting and dancing in groups.

The meet ended with promise to meet again and everyone bid emotional farewell to each other.
