Alumni Meet & Alma Star Awards 2023

The GD Goenka Alumni Association held its Alumni Meet & Alma Star Awards on 4 February 2023. It was a day of nostalgia and fun as the university welcomed back an enthusiastic group of pass-outs who came back to their alma mater. The events started with an address by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad gave a warm welcome to the alumni and apprised them of the new centers and facilities that the university currently boasts of. Dr. Ahmad called on the alumni as collaborators and stakeholders in the continual progress of the university. The Goenkan alumni were further welcomed by their juniors who had some really energetic performances lined up for the day which included a skit on campus life, a melodious musical performance, and an energetic dance performance. The highlight of the day came with the Alma-Star awards which were a recognition of the achievements of our own alumni, who carry with pride the legacy of their alma mater at their workplace and elsewhere. The events ended with a fun experience-sharing session where alumni shared anecdotes on campus life. The day came to a close with a vote of thanks by the Dean of Student Welfare & International relations, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik addressed the audience and congratulated the winners once again. The Alumni Meet ended with Goenkans-young and old, coming on the floor together for a celebratory dance.

● Saurav Chhabra, currently working as Officiating Dean and Associate Professor - Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School, Sushant University Gurugram, was felicitated with the Alma Star award for Contribution to Society.
● Mukesh Kumar Gupta, currently working as Sr. Director - Finance & Commercial, Integrated Facilities Management & Asset Service, India, was felicitated with the Alma Star award for Professional Excellence.
● Jyoti, currently working as Business Development Executive at Dr. Bio Hi tech International Company, was felicitated with the Alma Star award for Professional Excellence.
● Abrar Khurshid, currently working as Graduate Trainee - operations in Executive at milk basket, was felicitated with the Alma Star award for Professional Excellence.
● Sangeeta, currently working as an MSc Student in Agronomy at Suresh Gyan Vihar University Jaipur, was awarded the Alma Star award for Contribution to Research.
● Nishant Singh, currently working as MD, Hygiene Airtech India Pvt ltd, Baddi HP; MD, Hygiene Lifesciences Pvt Ltd, felicitated with the Alma Star award for Rising Entrepreneur.
● Prateek Kaushik, currently working as, a Senior Software Development engineer, ESHOBOX, Gurugram, was felicitated with the Alma Star award for Professional Excellence.
● Anshul Srivastava, currently working as, Facilitator of Chemistry and Environmental Systems and Societies, GD Goenka World School Sohna, was felicitated with the Alma star award for Academic Excellence.
● Govind Bali, currently working as an advocate, was felicitated with the Alma Star award for Professional Excellence.

● Nitu Bhattacharya, currently working as a Senior Manager, Alumen, was felicitated with
