Career assessment exercises and self-exploration activities conducted by Dr. Sahadeva
Singh for the students of SoAS

A series of career assessment exercises and self-exploration activities were designed by Dr.
Sahadeva Singh for the students of SoAS on 22 nd – 24 th March, 2021 in hybrid mode. The
activities aimed to help students understand their skills, interests, and values and make informed
decisions about their careers

Dr. Singh began the activities by providing students with an overview of the different career
paths available in the agriculture sector. He then led students through a series of exercises
designed to help them understand their strengths, weaknesses, and interests. This included
personality tests, skill assessments, and values inventories.
In addition to the assessments, Dr. Singh also provided students with the opportunity to
participate in experiential learning activities, such as mock interviews and role-playing exercises.
These activities allowed students to put their skills into practice and receive feedback from Dr.
Singh and their peers. The activities were designed to be interactive and engaging, allowing
students to participate in group discussions and share their experiences and insights with their
peers. These provided students with a real-time classroom feeling and a valuable opportunity to
learn from each other and gain a deeper understanding of the career paths available in the
agriculture sector.

The event concluded on a good note with feedback from the students learning about their
strengths and weaknesses and their interests while enjoying the activities. The students urged for
conducting similar events every year so that they could learn about their interests and get focused
on their career well ahead. They remarked that the activities helped them to make informed
decisions about their careers and increase their chances of success in the agriculture sector.
