CHALLENGES IN FABRICATION OF ATV FOR BAJA 17 July 2020

A departmental webinar was conducted in order to enhance online learning skills of our faculties and students. The Department of Mechanical Engineering hosted a webinar on 'Challenges in fabrication of ATV for BAJA’. Resource persons: Dr. Rajnish Katarne, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SVKM's NMIMS, Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering, Shirpur, M.H. More than 30 participants both Teaching Faculty Members and Students participated. The event started with an inaugural address by student Akshay Antal and Dr Pankaj Dubey, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, GD Goenka University Sohna, Gurgaon. Dr. Dubey extended his warm welcome to the participants and Resource Persons of the Webinar.

Dr. Rajnish Katarne elaborated about the dos and don’ts for ATV fabrication.  He also discussed the SAE BAJA whole events regarding participation, roll cage design process and simulation, vehicle specification and validation, suspention, CAE analysis, brakes, manufacturing and cost and DFMEA.  From the WEBINAR, the participants had the opportunity to know about the tools to develop a innovative BAJA ATV using science and technology in addition to gained knowledge about SAE BAJA event.
