Communication Club Event - Diversity Delight

Celebrating Diversity and inclusivity: A Recap of the Diversity Delight Event On the 16th of January 2024, the Gopi Ram Goenka Moot Court was buzzing with excitement as Trupti Agarwal, the student in charge and a member of the Communication Club, along with co-host Palak Gulati, took the stage to host the Diversity Delight event.

They emphasized that our university is a microcosm of the world, representing a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. They highlighted the importance of diversity in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and innovation, ultimately contributing to academic excellence.

The event featured captivating dance performances, starting with a Punjabi dance by Pooja and Kanmeet Kaur, celebrating the sense of community in Punjabi culture. Dhanvi Dagar, Geeta, Girijesh and Vishakha brought the cultural vibrancy of Haryana and Bollywood fusion to the stage with an exhilarating dance. The fashion show and cultural dance by Kapendwe Mwenge Plamedie, Joy Kaman, Dina Yav and Biswese Muku showcased the dedication and love towards their nation and values.

Tintswalo Khoza and Darsh Aggarwal from BBA and Pushkar Raj from MBA shared their unique student experiences, offering insights into the heartbeat of the university – its students. On the other hand, Pooja, Preeti and Nikita from BBA who joined the Programme towards the end of their first semester shared their invaluable experiences from their
enriching journey and the support they received from their peers and faculty members.

A warm welcome was extended to Dr. Smitha Girija, the Dean of the School of Management, who shared her thoughts on education, diversity, and progress. The students where then addressed by Mr. Girish Ahuja, UG head, School Of Management.

Trupti Agarwal, as the student in charge, thanked Dr. Ramandeep Kaur for the opportunity to host the event. The event concludes with a reminder to stay inspired, united, and to keep celebrating diversity until the next extraordinary experience followed by an extremely close and deep video showcasing the memories of the learners in the university over the past year.

The Diversity Delight event, held at the Moot Court on January 16, 2024, was a resounding success, emphasizing the rich tapestry of diversity within the university community. It served as a reminder of the importance of embracing and celebrating differences, fostering unity, and creating an inclusive academic environment.
