Board of Student Activities (BSA) Literary Club of GD Goenka University hosted a debate competition on 25 September 2019. The motion of the debate was ‘If it’s not Instagrammable, Is it really life?’ The jury for the event were Prof. (Dr.) Reva Raina, Dean, School of Education, Dr. Anjali Midha Sharan, Dean, Research and Development and Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor, School of Management. Many students had enrolled for the debate competition and after scrutiny 15 were selected to participate in the event.

Every participant was given four minutes in total which consisted of three minutes for debating on the topic and one minute for rebuttal. Participants were judged on the basis of four parameters: Understanding of topic, Organisation and Clarity, Rebuttal, Information and Presentation Style. All the participants shared their views. The rebuttal round observed very critical questions which were answered by the participants in a very smart and balanced manner.

Govind Bali from School of Law secured first position, Pragati Srivastava from School of Management bagged the second position and Adarsh Kumar Singh from School of Engineering stood third.

Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Dean Student Welfare & International Relations congratulated the students along with jury members for their participation. This was followed by vote of thanks by the BSA student council members of Literary Club - Ms. Apurva Maroria - President, Ms. Pragati Srivastava and Ms. Arpita Joshi - Vice President, Mr. Rohit Kumar Sharma - Co-ordinator and Mr. Manas Sharma - Member.

The event ended with participants and audience getting their pictures clicked with the props made by the Literary club members.
